Brass Spectacular
Broadway Chamber Players welcome ten of Broadway’s legendary brass players!
“The Call” represents how the power of brass music has affected our societies across time. From early calls to attention, announcing a hunt or a battle, political declarations and social celebrations, to becoming the voice of American Jazz, brass instruments have the ability to raise us to our feet and to feel the infectious power of sound in a way only brass players can.
Join us for an incredible concert through time as we begin with the early evolutions of the instrument demonstrated by early horn specialists R.J. Kelley and The Lion King's, Alexandra Cook. Four of Broadway's top trombonists will treat us to Beethoven's famed Drie Equali. Finally, the ensemble will grow to a traditional brass quintet and feature works by Brahms, Debussy, Gershwin, and more!
Don't miss this incredible concert of sonic strength and beauty at our home venue of St. Malachy's - The Actors' Chapel, a space so perfectly balanced for brass.
